Get to know Luca Ferone ∼ Born: Trento, Italia ∼ Lives: Brisbane, Australia
The story of Luca Ferone (Co-founder of Pizzantica) starts in the north of Italy: Trento, Italia. Growing up, Ferone was an aficionado for food, who truly enjoyed nothing more than grocery shopping and cooking with his dear mother, Nadia.

In Italy, Luca worked in a number of jobs - a surveyor, in various hospitality roles and as a Lifesaver at the various lakes in the region. Unbeknown to many, Ferone has actually saved a couple of lives in his short span as a Lifesaver!
Due to the poor economic climate (and no more lives to save), Ferone's ambitions and inquisitive personality saw him leave the charming town of Trento in search of a new beginning. Ferone landed himself in the Sunshine State and it wasn't long before Luca made it his goal to remain in Australia.
Ferone's passion for food continued to grow as he trained and worked as a Pizza Chef in a popular Brisbane Italian restaurant for about four years.
At around age 30, Ferone had a dream. He wanted to share an authentic slice [pun intended] of his passion and heritage with the people of Brisbane. It was Ferone's appreciation for vintage vehicles that saw him fantasise about mounting a pizza oven on the back of a classic 1978 Volkswagen Kombi.
Without much business experience nor legal know how, Ferone sought help and advice from those in his inner circles. At which point, Renzo [a friend from a local futsal team] put Ferone in touch with Michelangelo [an engineer], who played a key role in orchestrating and assisting Ferone with the development of the Pizza Kombi and Pizzantica.
